In 1958, Harold Finger and Frank Beale arived in PNG to find a site to commence mission work. At the invitation of the Tung people they started a work in their village. Other village stations were built later. In 1963 the first seven people were baptized. By 1972 there were just over 400 Christians along the Ramu and Keram Rivers. Today there are over 6,000 Christians in around 200 churches scattered along the Ramu, Keram, Sepik, Sogeram and Ywat Rivers in the Schrader Ranges and the land between. |
