The Australian Churches of Christ work in Western India commenced in the State of Maharashtra, in a rural area 320 kilometers inland from Mumbai.
In 1905, Mr and Mrs H. Strutton pitched tent under a large tree on the outskirts of Baramati and so began the Australian Churches of Christ work in India.
